Cafe Sopra

Through a large warehouse entrance, past the delivery vehicles; through the produce and market quarter, past the cooking class corner; up the stars and there it is - Café Sopra, one of Waterloos most popular Italian eateries. This may not be the easiest place to find but the sheer number of eager diners tells you it’s certainly a great find! Understated in surrounds, the quality of ingredients steal the show. Stuffed zucchini flowers arrived lightly battered and delightfully crisp. A salad of sweet roman tomatoes, asparagus and white anchovies had us quibbling over the last mouthful while the strozzapreti with porcini mushrooms and beef ragu saw the table fall quite with utter indulgence.
